| The Saturn is/was a 4-4-0 American type locomotive built in late 2001. It the first of my engines to have real, all lego, driving wheels. It was a great success!! It was unmotorized but had a very nice and large smoke stack. It has wood in the tender for burning and a large steam dome with a white whistle on top next to the cab. It was modeled after one picture of Union Pacific's Jupiter. I think the hardest parts of it to build were the light and cylinders. The former was the last thing added and the latter had to be made quite carefully so that the leading truck could go around curves. |
