This Alco PA Unit was inspired first when I went to a slideshow about the Delaware and
Hudson Passanger units. There was a book with lots of good photos so I got it, and decided to make with
Mlcad so that I would not suffer from want of bricks.
I raytaced some pics 1/3 of the way and 2/3s of
the way through construction. It should be able to go around real Lego curves but I am not sure if the
from magnet is the correct hight. It uses 1 x 3 arches (like in the Super Chief) for the nose and has a
lighting brick inside the yellow window. For the foremost grill I have a piece of gray fence with a 2 x 4
plate in it. Also, the 1 x 2 plate inside the 1 x 2 window is just there is show where a little piece of
paper with the number would go in the actual thing and the empty hand-clips are for six-long rods which
are not there due to me not having updated my ldraw dir with new parts.
Probably the most detailed part
is th front wheelset with its upside-down fence piece. Both wheelsets are supposed to be black but I
have not got aroung to fixing that yet. You can get the dat here
